Amanda Wallace was born June 24, 1914 in Lake Village, Arkansas. She was the second of seven children born to the late James Griffin. Amanda was her birth name but Aunt Many was the name all her loved ones and friends called her. Aunt Mandy's husband, two sisters, four brothers and two grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great-great grandchild preceded her in death. Aunt Mandy was united in holy matrimony to Isaiah Wallace. To this union Aunt Mandy has two daughters, Geraldine and Shirley. Aunt Mandy accepted Christ at an early age. She attended church under the Pastorate of the late Dr. T.L. White and Pastor Napoleon Wordlaw. She served faithfully on the Mission Board. Aunt Mandy was a soldier in the army of the Lord, and indeed a very special person. If ever you needed peace, you knew you could find it at Aunt Mandy's home. If ever you needed love, you could find it in Aunt Mandy's heart. If ever you needed someone to lay your heavy loads on, she was there to provide you with prayer, correction and guidance. A prayer that was sure to be answered with the quickness. Aunt Mandy was a woman to be honored. As her duties drew near, she was ready! She always said, "If it's God's will and he say so". Those are words of a true soldier serving the Lord. Aunt Mandy departed this lie on February 18, 2010. She leaves to cherish: Two daughters Geraldine and Shirley, five granddaughters Deborah (Clinton), Donna (Edwin), Wanda (Herb), Brenda and Tara; two grandsons Bernard and Darnell; eighteen great grandchildren, fourteen great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many long time friends.
