Arthurine Miller was born on July 20, 1945 inWhiteville, Tennesse to Oscar Whitehorn and the late Luesillar Whitehorn. SHe was the oldest of fourteen children.
Arthurine gave her life to Christ on September 18, 1991 at Chicago Church of Christ.
Arthurine was raised in caruthersville, Missouri. As a young adult she married Postell McHarland, Sr. and to this union four children were born. She later relocated her family to Chicago in November 1966.
Later in life she married Melvin Miller, Sr. and to this union one son was born and they became a blended family.
Arthurine worked at Zachary Candies Company, Soldier Field and ASI Corporation. She received her CNA degree and retired after 25 years of service.
Arthurine loved her job and deeply cared for her clients. She enjoying traveling with her husband and family. Arthurine loved her family and friends and always entertained.
Arthurine will be truly missed. The Lord called her from labor to reward on Saturday, July 28, 2012 peacefully at her home amoung her loved ones.
Arthurine leaves to cherish her memories; a devoted husband, Melvin; father, Oscar Whitehorn; son Postell and Andre(Ieasha); daughters, Josephine(Phillip), Carolyn (Dennis) and Angela; stepchildren, Melvin (Linda), Nathaniel, Larry and Kristy; 38 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Estella, Emma, Annie and Mary; brothers, William, Odell(Renee), Joseph, Richard, David and Robert; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
