Beatrice Thomas was born to the late Nick and Georgia Coleman on April 2, 1908 in Guerryton, Alabama. She was the second oldest of four children. Her siblings Bertha, Nick, and Ozzie preceded her in death.
Beatrice was a devoted Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed studying and learning Jehovah's Words. She was blessed to continue her studying and working with her brothers and sisters until death. Beatrice was united in marriage with John Thomas in 1929. They enjoyed a very devoted and caring marriage. To this union two daughters were born, Frazier Lee and Dorothy Lee. John preceded her in death on January 28, 2006. They had been married for 76 years. John and Beatrice were farmers. They also enjoyed fishing and hunting. Beatrice enjoyed cooking and could whip up a cara mel cake or two. Her favorite food ws fresh turnips with the roots.
Beatrice expressed her love and care for her family, both in words and deeds. Beatrice loved children. She would watch the children go to school. She enjoyed wisiting and reading to her four generations of children.
Beatrice made her transition on July 5, 2012. She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Frazier and Dorothy(Walter);grandchildren Doris, Evelyn, John (Juanita), Virginia(Joseph), Fred(Ann), Sharon, Shirley, Kenneth (Debra), Carol and Wanda; twenty three great grandchildren, sixteen great great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
