Betty Jean White Riley was born on June 1, 1929 to Mr. & Mrs. White, who preceded her in death, both of California. Betty came from a family of ten children. Betty was married to Nathaniel Riley and they shared a daughter, Bonnie Riley, both who preceded her in death.

Betty was called Auntie Betty by her family. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in California. She resided in Chicago, Illinois at the time of her death.

On the morning of February 23, 2012, God called Betty home to rest.

Betty leaves to cherish her memory: stepdaughter Antoinette Riley Scott; stepsons, Bobby, Walter and Nathan Riley; Sister-in-Law, Louise Williams; Step Nieces, Dreszina Moore, Laveda Jarrett; Step Nephews, Cedrix (Debra) JArrett, Reginald Jarrett, Carlos Jarrett, Michael Jarrett, Marvin Jarrett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
