Carolyn Simmons was born November 13, 1928 in Houma, Louisiana to the late Allen and Rosa Stewart. Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age at Jerusalem Baptist Church. She moved to Chicago where she graduated from Wendell Phillip's High School. Carolyn was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Lloyd Simmons. She worked for FW Means for many years. She was the most beutiful and loving person. Her loving ways touched many and her kindness will never be forgotten.
On Mother's Day, May 13, 2012, GOD called for Carolyn to come home and she went proudly to join her loved ones who preceded her in death; husband, Lloyd; sons, Steven and Richard; and daughter Clarice. She leaves to cherish, celebrate and reminisce the memories of her life; daughters, Pam and Debra; a special son-in-law, Charles; sons, Lloyd, Jr. and Charles; special friend Callie Angew; grandchildren, Michael, Piearre, Terrell, Towanda, Stephanie, Shawanda; 5 great grandchildren; puppy, Kim; cousin, Shirley; a host of other family and friends.
