Clarice Simmons was born on February 7, 1951 in Chicago to Lloyd and Carolyn Simmons. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Friendship Baptist Church where she was a member for many years. Clarice was educated in the Chicago Public School Systems attending, Forest Field Elementary, Bonds Jr. High, and graduated from Calumet High School. She latered attended Malcom X College for Child Development. She was employed with Spiegels, Burn Sde Steel and Puro Fied Down Comapany.
Clarice was a kind, considerate, understanding and loving person. There was nothing she wouldn't do, no distance she wouldn't go and would go out of her way to help anyone. Sh looked out for everyone. Children were her favorite. In 2010 her health began to decline, but that didn't stop her. She held her head up high, kept a smile on her face, and kept on going, holding on strong. She still helped, still cared, still loved and was devoted. So God said, "Clarice is strong, so I need her back home."
So she left with Him on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. Clarice has joined her loved ones, who preceded her in death; a loving and devoted father, Lloyd; brothers, Steven and Richard. She leaves to cherish fond memories; mother, Carolyn; sisters Pam and Debra (Special brother-in-law Charles); brothers, Lloyd, Jr. and Charles; God daughter, Melaine; very special and dear friend; Bonnie Clark; nieces,Stephanie, Towanda, Shawanda; nephews, Michael, Piearre, Terrell; and a host of other family and friends. Clarice will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
