Delores Mitchell passed away on December 30, 2012 at Little Company of Mary Hospital.

Delores Mitchell was born October 15, 1929 to James and Josephine Clanton. Delores accepted Christ and served at Greater Mount Hebron until her health failed under the leadership of Rev. E.F. Ledbetter. Delores was united in marriage to Clarence Mitchell in the early 50's; to this union, one son was born, Clarence Mitchell, Jr. Delores graduated from Dunbar High School and was employed many years at American Bank Note where she retired in 1997. Delores loved spending time with family and friends and for many years she served as president of the 8200 block of Wolcott. On that block she was loved and known by many. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorthy and Letitia and one brother, Ralph. She leaves behind to celebrate her life: her son, Clarence Mitchell, Jr. ; sister, Gail; two grandsons, Colvin and Clarence; four great grandkids, Chris, DayDay, Devoo, and Kamiya; and host of family and friends. Delores will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
