Geneva King was born April 25, 1942 to the union of Floyd and Almary Stanley, Sr. who both preceded her in death in Shellmound, Mississippi. Geneva was the eight of eleven children.
Geneva was united in Holy Matrimony in 1960 to Edgar King, Jr. from this union four (4)children was born.
She was a devoted member of Kendrick Memorial Baptist Church of Chicago, IL for many years under the leasdership of the late Reverend A.D. Spriggs and most recently a member of the New Faith M.B. Church of Chicago, IL under the Leadership of Reverend Howard Randolph.
Geneva was also preceded in by two (2) sisters, Louise and Carrie Lee; (1) brother Walter; and (1) half-sister Inez.
Geneva departed this life o April 25, 2011, surrounded by her family and friends.

Four (4) sisters; Carrie Bell Blackshire. Magnolia Moore (Jesse), Katherine Howard and Ruby Stanley (Walter), Three (3) brothers, J.D. Stanley (Rosie Lee) Floyd Stanley, Jr (Mary and Lonnie Stanely. Seven grandchildren one great granddaughter and a host of nices, nephews other relatives and friends.
Services, Saturday, April 30, 2011, 10:00a.m. viewing and visitation; Funeral Services at 11:00 a.m. All services will be held at Greater Omega Missionary Baptist Church, 135 W. 79th Street, Chicago, IL.
