Mr. George Washington Jr. was born November 17, 1918 in Chicago, Illinois to loving parents, George Washington, Sr. and Hattie Lewis Washington. Due to the lost of his beloved parent at a young age, he was primarily raised by his devoted sister, Marie Washington Lovelace. They had a loving and caring bond that lasted throughout their lives. George attended the Chicago Educational System. George committed his life to Christ at St. John Church-Baptist of Chicago at an early age; It was his faith in Christ and his sister's love that helped him endure the challenging times in his life. George acquired knowledge in many subject matters by reading, studying and conducting independent research. His thirst for knowledge and understanding was unceasing. George received his gardening and landscaping pcertificati0on after completing gardening school. He enjoyed a very successful landscaping business that included long-standing and very satisfied clients. George took pride in his work and the rigorous demands of his career kept George physically fit. He had many hobbies that included being an avid sports fan, book collector, and fine wine connoisseur. He leaves to celebrate his life, his cousin Naomi Guterz, and a host of other cousins and friends.
