Obituary

Gloria Brown was born on November 19,1934 to the union of Will and Ruth Johnson in Decatur Georgia. She migrated to Chicago in search of better opportunities for her family. During her lifetime she confessed Christ as her personal savior and was a member of Holy Angels Baptist Church. Gloria married twice, first to William Johnson and to Rueben Brown, both preceded her in death. Later in life she met the love of her life and devoted companion, Robert Simpson, who preceded her in death. From these two unions she had 10 children who she loved and provided for by working various jobs. She retired from Ashland Products after many years of service. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Willa, Elaine, Sarah, Ruth, and Vera; brothers, John, Willie and David; daughter Lorraine; granddaughter Tiana; grandsons Jonathan and Larry.
She leaves to cherish her memory; Brenda (Charlie), Del, Cheryl, Shelia, Sandra, Zelda, Theodore, Orlando,Tim, Jessica; brothers, Bishop (Mildred), and Nathaniel; sisters-in-law, Bobbie and Nellie; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, homecare worker, family friend, Brenda Myles, other relatives and many friends.
