Mr. Henry George Cox was born January 17, 1950. He was born to the union of Dan and Blanche Cox. He departed this earthly life on Monday, April 19, 2010 in Chicago, Illinois. Everyone knew Henry as "George". George accepted Christ at an early age at Ebenezer A.M.E. Church. He also attended school there. George later moved to Chicago, Illinois and made this his home. George was preceded in death by: his parents Dan and Blanche Cox, both of Yazoo City, Mississippi; one son, Cary Cox; one brother, Cleotha Sanders; and one sister Annie Laura Slater. Henry George Cox leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Shun Cox and Henry Cox; five sisters, Hattie (John) Spann of Chicago, Illinois, Carla Collins of St. Louis, MO, Jimmie (Fletcher) Hankins of Chicago, Illinois, Bobbie Young of Jackson, MS; and Helen (Robert) Williams of Chicago, IL; five brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Cox of Jackson, MS, Sammie Lee Cox of St. Louis, MO, Fred (Hazel) Cox of San Antonio, TX, Isaiah (Mary) Cox of Bentonia, MS, and Johnny R. Cox of Yazoo City, MS; three grandchildren, two aunts, one great aunt, and one great uncle; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
