Obituary

Mr. James Baldwin, WWII Navy Veteran and Civil Servant of the Chicago Post Office, Chicago Transit Authority and the Chicago Police Department, retiring after 33 years of publice service, born January 22, 1926, has departed this life and gone home to be with Our Lord and Savior, on April 18, 2020, leaving behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of 53 years, Mrs. Geraldine Baldwin and his loving daughter, Antoinette Wheeler(Michael), granddaughters, Kimberly (Gabriel) and Michel'le (Paul); great grandchildren, Brei'Ana, Brandon and GioVanni, and great-great grandson, Gage. Also mourning his passing are his devoted care givers, Cassandra and Trudis.  He will truly be missed by those who loved him dearly.

Arrangements, April 23, 2020, have been entrusted to Golden Gate Funeral Home, 2036 W. 79th Street, Chicago, IL 60620, 773-846-7900.

He will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL on Thursday, April 23, 2020.
