Jarrett Xavier Rowe, also known among his family as "Jaybird", was born August 17th, 1993 to the parents of Hopeton O. Rowe, Sr. and Raye A. Grimes Rowe, in Evanston, Illinois. As a child, Jarrett began his years of education at Warren Cherry Preschool. From there, he attended kindergarten at Kingsby Elementary. Before Jarrett completed elementary education, the Rowe family relocated to the south side of Chicago where he started 5th grade at Alice B. Barnard School. At an early age, Jarrett accepted Jesus as his Savior. Jarrett went on to attend Brother Rice High School where he was completing his senior year and due to graduate in June 2011. While in the process of completing his senior year of school, Jarrett, worked part time at Popeye's Chicken, which just happened to be one of his favorite childhood foods. Jarrett excelled in many sports through his school years and received many awards. He volunteered at "Love to Serve Tennis Club" where he was an instructor as well as a participant. Jarrett loved life, music, dancing, performing, learning and being with his friends just hanging out. In Jarrett's short 17 years, he gained friends wherever he went and loved each day to the fullest, never being afraid to try and explore new things. He was treasured by family and friends for his captivating smile, outgoing personality, good humor, generosity and love for entertaining. On September 22nd, 2010, Jarrett Xavier Rowe was called home to be with his Heavenly Father. He leaves many who love him with cherished memories; mother, Raye A. Grimes-Rowe; father Hopeton O. Rowe, Sr.; brother, Hopeton O. Rowe, Jr.; sister, Simone Imani Rowe; maternal grandparents, Ray and Louise Grimes; paternal grandmother, Mavis Rowe; and his countless aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
