Mr. John L. Spann was born on January 15th, 1943 to Nevone and Willie Moore, in Macon, Mississippi. John departed this earth on April 27, 2010, 8:00 p.m. at Mount Sinai Hospital. John was known as, "Sonny C" to everyone. John was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters and brothers. John leaves to cherish his memory: a beautiful loving wife, Hattie Spann; and two sons, John, Jr. and Anthony Spann; four sisters, Leslie Gowens of Chicago, Illinois, Hazel Sampson of Birmingham, AL; Helen Wilks of Columbus, MS, and Fannie Lee Ramson of Macon, MS; ten grandchildren, two great grandsons, and a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
