Juanita Falls, was born February 24, 1953 to the union of Cornelious and Sadie Island in Blytheville, Arkansas. The family later moved to Chicago where she was raised and attended school. She was the first born of eight children.
*Juanita became a member of The Light of the World Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Jonathan Greer Sr. where she accepted Christ at an early age. While attending The Light of the World Church she met and married Minister Samuel Falls, a union lasting over twenty-seven years until he made his transition.
*Sister Falls was committed to serving the Lord any way she could. For example: she was a member of the church choir, in addition to singing in her family group, *The Wings of Heaven* with her four sisters. She also attend both Sunday School and Bible study. Sister Falls later became a member of The Stone Temple Church of God in Christ, where she continued her commitment to the Lord.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters and three brothers: Frances (Ulysses) Burns Sr., James (Brenda) Island, and Manolito Pendleton Sr., all of Illinois, Ernestine Johnson of Mississippi; stepfather Jose Valdez; one stepdaughter Sandra Williams, both of Illinois, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and one goddaughter Kendra Seldon.
*Juanita was preceded in death by her mother Sadie, her father Cornelious and her loving husband Samuel.
