On April 24, Karen Williams, the eighth of nine children, was born to Archie and Elgloria Williams in Chicago, Illinois. *Karen was always a high achiever. Whatever she set her mind to do, she was determined to accomplish. Karen attended Cooley High School. After high school graduation, Karen attended and graduated from Wright College. In spite of many obstacles, she obtained her Real Estate License. Karen received many honors and awards over the course of her lifetime. She spent many hours volunteering for community services and hospice. Karen was a firm believer, that everything she did was an assignment. In 1996, Karen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She dedicated herself to the Lord and to the ministry where He planted her, which was the Living Word Christian Center, pastored by Pastor Bill Winston. *Karen's passion has been to see the lost won to Christ. You would find her on the Evangelism team, working the Alter Ministry or the Street Team. Karen lived a very fruitful life even when her health began to fail, she continued pressing to do the work of the Lord. On April 9, 2010, the Lord called Karen to her eternal home. She was preceded in death by: her father, Archie Williams; her sister, Janis Williams; and brother, Randy Williams. Karen leaves to honor her memory: her mother, Elgloria Williams; three sisters, Diane Williams (Hugo), Charlene Waddell and Kim Oaks (Douglas); three brothers, Graylin Williams, Archie Williams (Barbara Jean) and Larry Williams; two aunts, Ernestine Sivels and Shirley Sivels; one uncle, Lawrence Sivels; her closest friends, Carmen Cornell and Marek Muc; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, whom she loved.
