Katie Price Gould was born in Florence, Alabama on March 2, 1920 to the late Enos and Annie Johnson. She confessed Christ at an early age at Shiloh Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. Katie attended both elementary and high school in Florence, Alabama.
Katie married George Wesley Price, Sr. (who preceded her in death), in 1937, to that union was born two children, Joyce Price and George Wesley Price, Jr. The family moved to Chicago in 1943.
Katie received her certification as an interior decorator and was employed by Plasto Manufacturing Company in Chicago, Illinois. Katie would retire in 1985 after nearly 40 years of service. Although retired, she continued to use her interior design skills for family, friends and churches.

*In 1978, she married Willie Gould who also preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories two children: Joyce Price, Chicago, IL and George Wesley (Mary, deceased) Price, Jr., Flossmoor, Il., three grandchildren: Larry (Beverly) Green, Chicago, IL; Hassan (Ingrid) Price, Steger, IL and Akaliah (Gerald) Sowell, Flossmoor, IL, four great-grandchildren: Ashley Green, Gianna Green, Nyalah Price and Lai-Lani Sowell, special friend of the family Denise Byrd, long time friends, Mr. Jeff Pointer, Juanita Burton, Virginia Rome, John Mack Brown and Mary White, and a host of friends and relatives.
