Lawrence B. Frye was born into this world on January 9, 1957 as the second child to the union of Doyle Sr. and Lorrene Frye in Memphis, Tennessee. Educated by the Chicago Public School System, Lawrence attended DuSable High School. He then began working for Midway Wholesalers where he enjoyed working for fifteen years. He was presently working for the greenwood Health Facility as a Maintenance Supervisor. During the late seventies he met Sarah Reed and they married June 29, 1980. Lawrence led a very dynamic lifestyle and loved to entertain company at his home and listen to the blues. He loved to win Smokey Robinson songs. Throughout the years, he was always there for his family and others. A lot of people truly depended on him. He had a heart of gold and will be missed by all whoever came in contact with him. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his loving wife, Sarah Frye; five daughters, Theresa, Cyrita (Rob), Daisy (Joe), Denise (Charles), Angela (Jack) and one son, Arthur all of Chicago, Illinois; twelve grandsons; three granddaughters; parents Doyle Sr. and Lorrene Frye; three brothers, Doyle Jr., Wesley, and Mario Frye of Chicago, Illinois; three sisters, Minnie, Mildred and Vivian (Roy Lee) of Chicago, Illinois; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
