On August 17, 1961, something wonderful happened in Chicago, Illinois; Marvin made his arrival into this world. Marvin was the only child born to the late Thomas Poole and Sister Nettie. He received his early education at St. Sabina Catholic School and St. Leo Catholic High School where he played on the basketball team and had the honor of performing in the choir for Pope John Paul II. Marvin obtained a B.A. in Accounting from Northeastern University. A compassionate, warm and loving person is what Marvin was to many children. He guided, counseled and generously shared with them the wisdom that he had. He loved and lived bowling and was a member of the American Bowling Conference and belonged to several leagues. An industrious worker, Marvin was a Certified Public Accountant; he owned his own business "Marvin's Tax Services' for 22 years. He also was a Licensed Insurance Agent and Licensed Real Estate Agent. Marvin was a loving son, a cherished nephew, a concerned cousin and a true friend. On February 1, 2010, the Lord called Marvin home to eternal rest. May his soul find peace, favor and acceptance with his Maker and indeed may his good work live on. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Nettie Poole; his sister, Denise; his maternal great-aunt: Myrtle (Aunt Myrtle) Warren of Grand View, MI; maternal aunts; Jessie Booher (Kelly) of Grand Chain, IL; Betty Jackson (James) of Chicago, IL; and Jewel Tatam of Kansas City, MI; maternal uncles, James Ballard, both of Chicago, IL; paternal aunts: Claudia Webber (John), and Eyonee Millsap (Al) both of Chicago, IL; and Rosie Steele (Eddie) of New York, NY; paternal uncle, Robert Cannon (Dorothy) of Chicago, IL; two special cousins: Kiari and Kari Nero of Chicago, IL; a host of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd cousins from all aver; his friend, Marva and her daughter, Ebonie, a host of friends from St. Sabina, St. Leo (especially his music teacher, Mr. Neal); Northeastern University and business associates.
