Michael Blaylock attended Perkins Bass Elementary School and Chicago Vocational High School and received his GED in the armed service. Michael was employed at McCormick Place for 16 years. Michael had his first child Shau Booker with Connie Cooker in 1974. Michael was married (1982) for 18 years to Marcella Blaylock, from this marriage Candace Camille Blaylock was born in 1983. Michael, otherwise known as "Blay" lived to listen to his music and sing when his alter ego "Larry Washington" would appear- Michaels's entertaining self immerged. Michael could make you laugh and want to strangle him at the same time. The Dramatics, The Stylistics, The Dells and The Chilites have lost their biggest fan… Michael Blaylock. Please don't cry or be sad about Michael leaving, he carries on in our hearts, our memories and in the music we grew up listening to. Our Father saw fit to take Michael on Wednesday, April 21, 2010… so let's take the time to celebrate the joy Michael Blaylock brought to our lives today and remember them always.
