Granny was born Dorothy Bell Easton, on March 8, 1928 to Herman and Mary Bell Easton in Drew, Mississippi. Dorothy accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Elder Cropure. Dorothy attended Brokis Grammar School, in Drew, Mississippi and furthered her education at Wendell Phillips High School, where she received her high school diploma after relocating to Chicago, Illinois. Dorothy was committed a and hard worker as she obtained employment at Allied Electrical for 12 years, Community Discount Store for 3 years and Rockwell Daycare, where she served her community. Dorothy enjoyed her hobbies as a decorator, seamstress and caregiver for the young and old, She loved her family very much and showed her love through opening her doors, sharing her food and helping out with anything, if needed. She leaves to cherish in her memories her children Louis Easton Sr. (Carmen) and Arlethea (Bishop Johnson) Her mother Mary Bell Easton, Her brother John Easton (Nuell) her sisters: Evelyn Simpson, Annie Sampson and a host of other family members.
