Pearl Evelyn Tilford was an elegant and beautiful Christian woman who exemplified the attributes of a virtuous woman through her radiant smile. Pearl was born on September 17, 1928 to Hollis Jenkins and Cora Everett Jenkins in McComb, Mississippi. She was the youngest of eight; five brothers and two sisters; She departed this life on July 26, 2010. She was educated extensively in the Pike County School system. She finished her secondary education, Graduating Valedictorian from Pike County Agricultural High School. She later attended Cortez Business School In Chicago, Illinois. Her soul will live on in the eyes and hearts if her devoted son, Fred J. Tilford III, loving and devoted daughter Sheree Trenee Tilford; granddaughter Nikki Young of Dallas, Texas; grandson, DeMartice DeShay of Chicago, Illinois, two great grandchildren, a brother, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, 2 god daughters, friends and the church family of True Believers Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Jessie Burris Thomas and Estella Anderson; four brothers, Percy Jenkins, Robert Jenkins, Earl Jenkins and Charles Jenkins.
