Roberta "Fergie" was born on November 25, 1937 to Walter and Annie Ferguson. Both parents, brother Walter, sisters Joan and Shirley preceded her in death.

Roberta was the eldest of seven children and she grew up in a loving and caring home on Chicago's West Side.

She accepted Christ and was baptized into the Catholic Faith at Our Lady Gate of Heaven. She attended Emerson Elementary School and graduated from McKinley High School. She also liked playing cards with close family and friends and traveling extensively.

Roberta was employed with the Department of Health and Human Services until retirement.

Roberta departed from this life April 26, 2012.

Roberta leaves to cherish her memory beloved son Chad Ascar )Monica); granddughter, Riley; sisters,Marie (Jerry) and Bernice; nieces, Angela, Antoinette, Anna, Marie, Cecelia, Robyn and Sherie; nephews, Darren and Ryan; Phillippe Ascar (Chad's father); and a host of other relatives and friends.
