William Henry Young was born on November 4th, 1934 in Anderson, Alabama, to the union of Mary Louise Maul and the late Joseph Young. Bill's mother brought him to Chicago in December of 1934. He attended a catholic grammar school and graduated from Phillips High School, later becoming a Mill Wright at LTV Steel, until a back injury forced him into early retirement. William was a very devoted and good son, husband, father, grandfather (PaPa), brother, uncle and friend. He never passed judgment on others, was kind, generous and helpful to all. He also was a firm and wise man. William leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife, Evalina of 39 years; his daughter, Nicole E. McGhee; son-in-law, Torrance McGhee; two grandchildren, Ashley and Tori McGhee; his mother, Mary Louise White; step-mother, Sue Oge and her son, Jon Luke Oge; aunt, Allene Foster of Florissant Missouri; mother-in-law, Alma Williams of Chicago, Illinois; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many friends. Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
